Fishing Reports:Trout Fishing on the White River in Arkansas 1st of March 2010 The flows on the White River are slowing down with the lakes finally down to power pool levels. Wading conditions can be had on Beaver, Table Rock, and the North Fork tail waters most every day. Here below Bull Shoals we now have ideal flows for drifting from a boat. Some limited wadeing can be had in areas that are accessed by boat. Streamer fishing from the drift boat on cloudy days has been very good the last few weeks. Not a numbers game, but the best way to land a really good fish. Nymph fishing produces the numbers; mostly rainbows. So far the shad kill has been short and sweet. No reports of any coming through the dam the last couple of weeks but that could change at any time. The weather is beginning to warm up and that means white bass, walleye, and other warm water species will moving to shallower areas available to the flyrod fisherman. Unless we get a lot of rain soon, conditions should be the best we have had in a couple of years. I'm really looking forward to the next couple of months. Call to book a spot this spring!
